Be still my heart - Epiphone Slash Les Paul

Besides not having buckets of money, there is another reason I like Epiphones (in fact I own two). I, like many other people, suffer from a back injury, or in my case two back injuries.     Does an Epi weigh less than a Gibson? I've got an Epi LP Standard which is pretty solid but I'd never compared it to a Gibson.

    Yeah, not a huge amount but enough to be noticable for someone with a back or shoulder injury. It also depends on the model. I have two Epi's, an older generic type model and an Epi Goth (both LP's). The Goth is noticably heaver due to the chunkier neck radius and slightly thicker body.

    I'm not a fan of the finish on this guitar the burst seems a little harsh, and makes a sort of teardrop shape, also I don't like the Epi headstock but that's just me. I'd personally take the money for this guitar and put it toward a cheaper Gibson.

    I see what you mean. And for most burst finished I would agree, but there is something about a tobacco burst like this one that just makes me weak at the knees.
